About
Johnny Patience is a Fine Art photographer based in the United States. Born and raised in Europe, his love for photography has brought him to many countries around the world. The foundation of Johnny’s work is a unique combination of fine art, travel, and street photography. He shoots film exclusively and works with a minimalist approach to gear: one camera, one lens and natural light.
Johnny documents people and places in an authentic, emotionally compelling way, which has given his photography an original and recognizable handwriting. Johnny published his first book “Arriving Home – A love story” in 2016. A selection of his images were published in “Maine – Life in a Day” in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of DownEast Books. He has been a contributor for several magazines and is currently working on his second book, “Contrasts”. His photographs have been awarded by the IPA, and featured online and in print.
»I am interested in art as a means of living a life, not as a means of making a living.«
Robert Henri
