Johnny Patience

Johnny Patience is a Fine Art photographer based in the United States, where he lives with his wife Rebecca Lily. Born and raised in Europe, his love for photography has brought him to many countries around the world. He shoots film exclusively and works with a minimalist approach to gear: one camera, one lens and natural light.

Johnny documents people and places in an authentic and emotionally compelling way, which has given his work a unique and recognizable handwriting. He has been a contributor for several magazines and is currently working on his first book, “Contrasts”, which will be available in 2017. His photographs have been awarded by the IPA, and featured online and in print.

Johnny co-hosts NYCWLK and LNDNWLK, non-profit photo walks and social gatherings based in London and New York City that are open to photographers from all levels of experience. His film photography workshops have been supported by brands like Leica, Kodak Alaris and Richard Photo Lab. Johnny is represented by Aspen Gallery in New England.

»I am interested in art as a means of living a life, not as a means of making a living.«
